CROSS- CURRICULAR LITERACY INITIATIVES - ONE SCHOOL'S STORY... THE KEY TO UNLOCKING THE BOX - CRITICAL THINKING
 
 

In this workshop, you will get an insight of how one school went about embeding Critical Thinking theory and skills in the delivery of lessons using group work methodologies across the school to promote the development of students’ confidence in self-evaluation, emphasising their values and views by allowing them the opportunity to articulate and form independent judgements.

 

PRESENTER BIOGRAPHIES

 

 

Lorraine O'Loughlin is a teacher of English and Geography in Coláiste Mhuire, Askeaton, Co. Limerick. She completed her teacher training in the UK before returning to Ireland and pursuing a Masters in Educational Mentoring in UL.
She is currently an associate for Junior Cycle for Teachers (JCT). 
 
Máire O'Brien is a teacher of Art, English and History in Coláiste Mhuire, Askeaton, Co. Limerick with over 30 years experience. She holds a Higher Diploma from Limerick School of Art and Design, and completed her Masters in Education in UL.
