PDST is delighted to welcome you to its second National Post-Primary Literacy Conference “Leap into Literacy and Go Places” on Saturday, April 23rd in the University of Limerick (Kemmy Business School).
Literacy is integral to accessing learning across the curriculum. This conference offers a broad and diverse range of literacy workshops as well as the opportunity for professional conversations around practice in the teaching of literacy across different curricular contexts.

|KEY NOTE SPEAKER|
Dr. Bernadette Dwyer is a lecturer in the education faculty at St. Patrick’s College, Dublin City University where she specialises in Literacy Studies. Previously a classroom teacher, with over 23 years of teaching experience at the primary level, she has taught in a varietyof school settings including both Deis and non-Deis contexts. Bernadette has also conducted a range of continuing professional development courses with teachers. Bernadette is an elected member of the Board of Directors of the International Literacy Association. She is also a past president of the Literacy Association of Ireland. Bernadette is a researcher and author in the areas of digital literacies and disadvantage, online reading comprehension, inquiry-based approaches, and global literacies. Her most recent book publication is Using Technology to Improve Reading and Learning. She regularly presents at national, European, and International conferences.
